With her long overhangs and graceful CCA lines, this Pearson Yachts, 41-foot Phillip Rhodes’ design is sure to be one of loveliest yachts in any harbor. She is an evolution of the famous Bounty II, the first production fiberglass yacht longer than 40-feet. Her interior features a master stateroom forward, master head to port, and large living area. Pearson launched fifty hulls from 1963 until production ended in 1968, and the IOR days of yacht design took hold.
This vessel is a classic example of the first fiberglass boats to be built. She is overbuilt as no one fully understood at that time the strength of fiberglass compared to wood. She is strong and blue water capable. The Pearson 41 has an easy motion and enough functional space to qualify as a good inshore or offshore cruiser. It makes an excellent DIY candidate. Most of the 50 Pearson Rhodes 41s, built from 1961 to 1968, are still around today and have a cult following, making it one of the most sought-after used boats.
****TOTAL RESTORATION***This vessel was built in 1965 and is hull 22 of 50 by Pearson Yachts. This vessel is cutter rigged and has gone through a complete renovation with everything on the boat redone or replaced. The interior was removed, redesigned and completely rebuilt. Complete engine refit in 2001.
It does not get more romantic than this - Must be seen to be truly appreciated. She is lovely.
